Hyperstone, iAd, and Softing today announced the Real-Time Ethernet Alliance.
Based on Hyperstone’s hyNet family of network processors, partners will combine their products and expertise, supporting all major Real-Time Ethernet protocols in a flexible and comprehensive technology platform. The technology roadmap includes support of the ETHERNET Powerlink, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT real-time protocols.
Hyperstone will provide processor hardware expertise through the hyNet family of processors, which are specifically designed to support several RTE standards.
“We at Hyperstone are dedicated to provide a competitive family of network processors to the industrial automation and networking community offering the necessary hardware support needed to establish Real-Time Ethernet architectures”, said Zoran Merlic, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Hyperstone, “with our new hyNet 32S we will soon have a second hyNet chip. This chip will provide not only PCI and Ethernet interfaces but also HUB-hardware support.”
iAd will provide hub and switch design, IEEE1588 real time synchronized support as well as porting services for ETHERNET protocols and operating systems, esp. Linuxâ, Nucleusâ, and others.
